I want to fish the horseshoe as well but I guess this is not the best time of year. How did the "backtracking" approach work? Did you hike to the horseshoe area, fish upstream, then back...

Thanks TN Hound! It looks like the trial starts just off of Laurel Creek Rd. and travels to the West Prong. I'll probably try that route sometime soon rather than the 2.7 from Treemont but I'm not...
