Thanks for the info.
Is Townsend area still designated trout water with bait restrictions? Most of my small mouth lures have treble hooks. I don't want to break any rules by having restricted baits...

I'm going to take a canoe to the Nantahala River June 12 for 2 nights, and from there up to the GSMNP until June 18th.
The plan in Wesser is to Canoe the Natty during the day (dam release) and...

I got that free download in the Garmin. It is really nice with the regular topo 2008. It seems to show all the campsites and trails along with the topo map.

There is one available called "Garmin Map Source TOPO National Parks" that is suppose to have the trails in...

Where is a good location to camp and fish during this time frame. We were thinking that on our first trip we would camp "front country".

By that I mean burning the ends of a short peice of monofiliment fishing line making "eyes" on each end and tying it to the front of a nymph or streamer.
