I have the traveler with the pedestal and I love it! Very portable, and plenty sturdy. Sounds like a good choice. I like the midge jaws for smaller flies.

milligan,

From your description, a pontoon boat would be the way to go. I have a Bucks Bronco and love it. Very stable fishing platform.

I second the water filter bottle. Much lighter than carrying water, and you have virtually an unlimited water supply. I used one in the park in the spring and it worked well. I clipped it to my...

cane

bamaboy,

If you buy from ebay, make sure the deal includes an inspection period, usually 3 days. That way you get to try the rod out to make sure it's what you were expecting.

Slippery

Hi Orvis,

You have a better shot at getting information from the PA Fly Fish message board. I am from SE PA so I can't help with Slippery.

Pontoon vs Mokai Boat

Randall,

You need to carefully consider what kind of water you'll be using your boat in. If you are in moving water, chances are you will not be doing much fishing while standing up, unless you...
