Re: Snakes

My boys and I fished Tremont Thursday and came across a rattlesnake in the road. Sure does make you want to stay in the water and not out on the bank.

Re: Smokies and Brookies in the Spotlight

Re: Smokies and Brookies in the Spotlight
My boys and I used to fish the N. and S. forks of Citico regularly and rarely saw another fisherman. An article about these streams come out in a magazine, and, if I remember correctly, in the...

Probably about a size 12 2xl hook. I live just up the hill behind Bethel Baptist Church, which is the church on the hill just across from Little River Outfitters. I work a pretty flexible schedule,...

Much fatter than an inch worm, I don't remember a horn, legs sort of like the top pic, but not furry. Segmented, I believe.

Re: Smoky Mountain Etiquette
I usually fish where or when I don't see many other fisherman. If I do encounter someone, I "leapfrog" around them and leave them some water to fish, and when they finish that water I have left, I...

When I started trout fishing as a teen-ager, we fished Tellico and Citico all the time and in the summer would shake sourwood trees for the worms that would fall off the leaves. They were deadly on...

Re: Terrestrials
Biggest fish I've caught in the park was on a grasshopper. Ants are deadly in the summer, but I can't see them very well anymore, even with a hi-vis green or orange spot.
