I grew up in Cincy where there are legendary brood emergence's (almost look like biblical plagues) every 8 and 17 years. Wish that happened down here!

I called the CNF Watauga offie and apparently all of the NF campgrounds closed in mid-October (seems very early to me...). I may have to try Cherokee Trails.

I'm heading up to the South Holston tailwater next weekend and was wondering where the closest campground to the river is? I will probably be solo with a small tent (i.e. no need for electricity)....

I fished the Holston about 5 miles below Cherokee dam on Friday May 25th from 12-3 pm. I saw a few caddis hatching but not the level of bug activity that I am used to seeing this time of year....

Byron was Right!

I had some time off yesterday so I decided to hit some close-in waters in the Park. The air temp was 65 degrees (!) so I expected good fishing, possibly even a hatch! I fished Tremont for a few hours...
