Some how this poplar managed to not get logged back in the day. It was huge compared to other trees in the area.
Belly crawling through the rhodo and laurel thickets.
After about 6 hours of fishing, we were tired. All the bushwacking. belly crawling, and fighting the strong water had worn us out. Considering the conditions, we had a pretty decent day.
A delicious backcountry dinner of campfire roasted trout and freeze dried meals awaits.
The hike out.
It was a good trip, we had much fun. I do wish the water had been a tad lower, but we can't control Mother Nature.
