I fished 2 miles above you Saturday morning and may have seen you pitching camp as we walked out. On our way out, we saw the other anglers in the water just above your camp. I fished upstream again Sunday. The rain quit about 10:30 am and the stream stayed clear all day. The fish upstream were quite active both days, and looking up.
The area around this campsite is getting heavy fishing pressure these days. You could probably tell from the over-used appearance of the camp-site itself. On a Saturday, you are sure to have fishing company here, and this probably affected your catch rate. Judging from your numerous other good posts from remote streams, you are probably accustomed to less pressured water.
The boys were hanging out Sunday afternoon with your camp neighbor. He appeared to be a big fellow. They looked fine. Thanks for posting your trip.
