I like the idea of the inflatable pontoons, because I could deflate it and put it in the trunk of the car. I would get a little trolling motor for it.
Do these work pretty well on the tailwaters?

My long time friend and fishing buddy just upgraded to his third 'toon. He started with a one man, then went to a two person, and just bought a three person. He has used his toons on the Clinch, Holston, South Holston, and Watauga. I used his one man 'toon once, and while it was nice to have on somewhat calm waters, a larger footprint is much more stable. Especially if you intend to stand while casting. If I were to get a one person 'toon it would probably be a Dave Scadden design. His 'toons are pretty revolutionary and he offers an unconditional lifetime warranty.
