Well; took a ride down to LRO on tuesday and picked up some OPAL TINSEL and it is wicked awesome stuff.... wish I had bought the entire inventory and may well do that to ensure a lifetime supply!
Tied up some *16 nymphs on "sproat" style hooks and used the OPAL for the abdomin with size small oval french tinsel in gold for a rib, then made thorax with ice dub peacock and used the opal for a wing case. Picked out the "fur ball" for legs.
****ation I'm ready to throw out all the other nymphs in my fly boxes!
This stuff is wicked amazing; won'y sleep well till I drift these in a river.
