Dry fly fishing is great, but I really don't ever cut the dropper off till late summer after the fish tell me to. Just too many missed oppourtunities to catch fish. I do love how much easier it is to control your drift with a dry only, and tangles are greatly minimized
It can't be more than 15-20 seconds to shoot a fish or scenery shot here or there
And just think when your old and feeble minded you'll have a few pics to remind you of your glorious days flyfishing the Smokies
