You just have to look at the area for a long time and let thing come into focus and then look for a tell tale sign , in this case the white of the mouth as it opened and closed, sometimes the red on a fin or the yellow of the belly. Once you start spotting fish it becomes easier as your brain starts to know what to look for, thats what I think anyway .
