The Clinch Millers Island ramp project continues on, every day I see progress as I go to jump in the river. I went after work last night about 6pm, fished til 8:30pm, with temps better dress accordingly. My rule of thumb is whatever the temp minus ten degrees to compensate for standing in a river. Sometimes it's a Little warm at first, but as you reach your spots, the sun goes down, and you start standing that extra layer makes the difference between those who flee and those who fish in comfort, I apply this to Smokies fishing and serves me well in the winter, spring, and fall fishing.
I got a total of five with a mix of browns and brookies, was really trying to nail a Clinch slam, but could not get a rainbow to save my life!
The brown was not big, brooks were decent with the second one very nice.
FIRST BROOK NICE HOOKUP
FISH CAM WHAT HE SEES
WHAT HE THINKS "THAT IS ONE BIG UGLY DUDE"
SECOND BROOK: Thunderhead tied me some flys to my specs, thanks to him for the brooks.
TWO GEESE FAMILIES WTH THE BABIES OUT FOR A STROLL ON THE NEW RAMP GRASS!
I AM NOT A BUILDER BUT THE QUALITY OF ROCK LOOKS LIKE MADE TO LAST
