Fishing on the Caney really depends on the generation schedule. You can wade just fine as long as they aren't generating. If they are, then the only way you can fish really is from a boat. I haven't really fished it on high water much. I'm guessing that throwing some streamers might entice some of the larger browns in the river if you float on high water. If the generators are not running, you will most likely find good fishing. About guides, I'm pretty sure that there are some guys that guide on that river but I'm not sure of names, maybe someone else can help there?
