Re: Green Weenie
The inchworm is a killer in summer, trailed behind an elk hair caddis. I use fine Fl. chartreuse chenille, chartreuse 6/0 thread a a #10 2x nymph hook. It is about as simple to tie as a fly can be, but I try to add some segmentation to the body by, after wrapping the body to the eye and tying off, palmering the thread to the bend and back to the eye to whip finish. The weight of the hook is usually sufficient to sink the fly.
