I have fished the Outer Banks on a couple of occasions. It has usually been the last week of October or first week of November chasing false albacore around Cape Lookout and Harker's Island.

I suspect there should be some marshes that hold redfish, weakfish and flounder in the area that you are looking at (although I am only guessing). There is a book by Tom Earnhardt about fishing the coastal areas of the Carolinas that would be an excellent resource. It is "Fly Fishing the Tidewaters" and I am sure that Little River could get it for you. There is also a guide book to fishing the Carolinas and Georgia that is one in a series of guide books that might be another good resource.

The good thing about saltwater is that fishing opportunities are rarely a long drive, you just need to know where to look.
