Well tailing in the high tide short grass usually is good through about the end of October. The best low tide fishing in mud flats is typically October and November. It can go into December if the weather doesn't get too cold. For me (the not boater) my season is coming to a close. I am going to try and get as much as possible in prior to the water being too cold for the crabs. I do not know offhand what the tides are doing in Charleston next weekend, but it looks like there will be fishable high tides in the afternoon. I am actually tyring to plan a trip up to the mountains that particular has been too long since I have thrown a fly to a real trout!
