Travis I would say yes I also have a Kelty Teton 2 (4lbs) works great when I have backpacked with my son who is 5. Has held up well over the last 2 years. I paid $100 for it. Now if I could go back in time I would just save up another $100 and buy a henry shires tarptent like the Moment which is roomier and weighs only like 1.5 lbs packed but is much more expensive at $215.
