Do you need a 10' length rod? I know I appreciate the extra length of my 9'0" 4#; so perhaps the extra length is what you are looking for.
I like supporting LRO but the cheapest 4# 10' rod they carry is the Orvis Access. It is a fine rod, but not economical IMO.
However if you could get by with a 9' rod, the TFO Professional 9' 4 Weight is an excellent rod for the same price as the BPS.
I have only fished one BPS rod. In college I had a 7' 6" 4 piece 5 weight. I replaced it as soon as I could afford to. The high liner could be an entirely different animal though.
