Clinch Sat May-10th.
I showed up at the church Saturday morning around 9:AM. Fished the run right in front of the church most of the morning. I started out with a #16 sulfer with #18 BHHE Dropper about 24" down. Had a few soft takes, netted and released 1 small bow. Around 11:00 the sulfer hatch started. I changed my dropper to #16 Tung. BHPT. The first drift immediately rendered a 14" Bow. On the next drift the BHPT was hit hard and I netted a 16" Bow, this one was a fatty. My nephew graduated from the Knoxville Police Academy the night before and there was a celebration I had to attend at noon and had to leave just as the hatch was getting started. I returned to the run that evening around 7:00 PM just before the flow started up. I was still rigged with the Tung. BHPT dropper. The fish seemed to be feeding on the surface so I was expecting a take on the sulfer. On the third cast the sulfer disappeared with a pop. 15 minutes later I was staring in my net at a 17" hog. I've caught a few 17" Rainbows on the Clinch, but this was by far the heaviest. Not many fish for me this weekend, but I couldn't of asked for a better ending.
Thanks for the tip A.P. Angler.

Thank God for mountains to climb, forests to hunt and streams to fish.
