    Default Holston

I am planning on hitting the Holston on Friday afternoon/evening. Not having fished it before, can I get some pattern/size recommendations for this time of year?

    The help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Tater, make sure you check the generation schedule. The water rises quickly being close to the dam. I caught my last two bows on a green weenie and a 16 BHPT. You might have a selection containing some yellow or green flies to match a possible hatch. I prefer nymph fishing on the holston since the big boys tend to stay low. Some more experienced anglers may chime in and give their help.

Have fun and post some pics when your done.

Caddis on the surface, just under the surface or on the bottom.

Crane flies are coming off as well.
