Default Jakes Creek 6/18 and West Prong 6/23

    Jakes Creek:
I tried a little something different today and headed to the elkmont area of the park. Because there were so many other people fishing I decided to do some small creek fishing and headed up Jakes Creek. I had an awesome day. I never even saw another angler. I caught most of the fish on a size 16 yellow stimulator and the first few on a gray sized 18 parachute adams. I ended up with 8 rainbows and 2 browns. As is the case with most places in the park there was a big stonefly hatch this evening so I think thats why I did so well on the stimulator.

    West Prong "Little River":
Today I left work around 4:00 or so and headed to west prong. I caught around 12 rainbows most of them coming on a size 16 never sink caddis with a yellow body. The stonefly hatch wasn't as impressive as what it has been in the past but I still managed to do well.Today I left work around 4:00 or so and headed to west prong. John, I checked out your website. The heck with pictures of fish and trees, where are the pictures of your "smokin hot girlfriend" (as you put it)....

Good job trying something new (Jakes Creek)...we all need to try new waters from time-to-time. It improves your skills. Glad you did well. Now about those pictures...

    PeteCz,
That's great! I started laughing immediately when I read your comments, partly in relief. It's good to know that I am not the only derelict out there. I clicked on Zimmerman's website to see pictures of the fish, but hit the "gallery" tab thinking, "let's see what this smokin hot girlfriend looks like".
Life is hard. But it's a lot harder if you're stupid.

I think this is the one you guys were looking forward to seeing. This picture was taken on a 90 degree day, hence the hot part.

    Thumbs up thornton-danny

John, pictures were neat. Did rather well during my 2 weeks of trout fishing in the park. Had to come back to Miss. and make a little pocket money. Return trip is not far away.
