    Default Back from West Yellowstone

We just got back in town from West Yellowstone.

We started the trip off with a float trip down the Madison.

    We saw these guys hatching

And caught a big caddis hatch on the firehole. You can't see it too well here but the air was thick with them.

We went to the headwaters of the Henry's Fork:

I took this one under water with my Olympus Stylus 790 SW camera. It's always a test of nerve to hold tha camera under water and snap a picture.

Being true fly fishermen (and the fact my wife stayed at home), our room always looked something like this:

What better way to dry your wading boots than in the hot dry Montana sun?

    ajh,
I can recommend Blue Ribbon Fly Shop in town. They're not Byron and Paula but we found them very friendly and they knew what was happening on the streams. We fished in areas they told us and used the flies they recommended and we caught fish. Our guide, Scott Clark works out of that shop and he was very good with my son.
