    Wink Does size really matter?

We've all heard it, if you want the big ones you gotta tie on a big fly. From my experience, i have found that goin large for large fish isnt always true. Yes, it is true for large mouth bass, from my experience, but when it comes to blue gills, bream, rb sunfish, ive caught them on flies half their size. Only thing that comes to mind is that the panfish just "want" the fly more. Just something to knock around. Let me know what yall have experienced/ and not. Lookin forward to your responses. Good fishin to all!

Caulght a 5#+ largemouth on a #12 Adams last summer. There were some fairly large flies on the lake and bluegill were slapping the big Adams with gusto. One of the hits was bigger than the rest and I ended up pulling that big boy out.

It is possible to catch large fish on small flies.

I think it depends on the species your fishing for.
    If your fishing this hatch...

Then you better bring the big bugs!

That is a version of the fly "Stealth Bomber"

That particular fly is tied on a #2 stinger hook. Had a few LM chewing on it Sat. morning!

Here's a link to a post from another thread that more precisely answers your question. This is from someone who fishes the park regularly.

    http://littleriveroutfitters.com/for...ghlight=Petecz

When you get there, sroll down to Fly Man Bill's reply to Petecz's question about sizes fished in the park

You might want to try it/them
