It's about time you joined this board. Heard you got some snow! Welcome and you are set to post.
Greetings to you folks at LRO. Guess my computer stills talks in East-Tennesseeze. Just got off the phone with Walter B. He told me that there's a post somewhere on your web sight with a picture of one of his bamboo rods. Do you know which one it is?
Re: Fishing here this summer--The Gallatin fished great on nymphs--Tellicos-what else?---and varied dry flies this summer after the water finally went down toward the last of July. Had several good 20-40 fish days with fish ranging in size from 8 to 18 inches.
Just got back from a trip to $3 bridge area on the Madison. We did well on size 18 Pheasant tails catching several nice rainbows and browns in the 14 to 18 inch range.
And,yes,it's snowing today.
Welcome to the board RB In MONTANA! It's a great place to share what you know and learn new stuff! Great fishin to ya!
"We try to be perfect, but we're only fishermen. We wade out into the water, we don't walk on top of it."
The most recent reference to one of Walter's rods was in Gary Troutman's thread on Classic Combos. Here's a link. When you get there, scroll down about 6 or 7 posts and there's a closeup of the rod and reel.
