That would be a choice of mine for a place to start a fly shop.

Ya its right next to the green river. The last time I was down there we were going to fish it, but they were generating.....so we went to the Davidson.(cant be unhappy about that)

I fished the Lower Green once. Its a little different than any other tailwater. It has a rocky bottom like a free stone stream, but with generation. I think its neat. There are supposedly big browns and rainbows in there. I hooked a big rainbow, but it was on a 20 midge and it popped out. The rest of the fish that we caught were in the 10 to 13 inch range.

The Davidson has to be my top stream. I even like it better than the trophy section in Cherokee. The reason is that how much effort you have to put in to fishing to catch a davidson river trout. If you catch 1 trout in a day there, you did great.

Yup, the trout on that reside on the "D" aren't for begginers. They are tough to fish for. 6x and 7x tippet is to small to keep a big 25 inch brown on the line. Tippet sizes are the most annoying part...more times than not, the fish won't even look at your fly if the tippet is too big...

    Question Sorry for the interruption

Trout slayer...you got a step by step or a link to instructions on the SJW Ball?
New tyer here, and I'm relegated to a tailwater for most trout, I'd like to whip some up.

Thanks for helping an "old" guy out
