    I see the gauntlet! We went to the Elk on Saturday and all I could think was...."it's still January....I need a February fish!"

    I'll second what Gerry said...I don't think that the Caney is "bad" yet, its just that I never figured them completely out. I've got spoiled on that river so a day of 8-10 or so fish is a "slow" day now. I think that once the flows stabilize, the fishing will get better again...

    That, and I think we had a front blow through...

    1:00 pm on Monday and we've got at least 2" of snow on the ground in Maryville - maybe more.

    Big, heavy, wet flakes with more on the way!

    Now I'm thinking that the front put the fish down. It's not like I've lost my touch or anything After all... I was only a few fish behind the great Plateau Angler and suffering under phenomenally adverse weather conditions (David, don't you dare tell anyone it was really 60 degrees, sunny and breezy!!)
