    Default Tremont Fish ID

So I went fishing up in Tremont Tuesday evening and caught 3 of these guys that looked similar in a hole near the second bridge. I assumed they were bows at first but not entirely sure now it is even a trout at all and wondering if anyone here could take a look at this pic and tell:

I believe its in the chub family, but since it has those red tips on its fins, i'm not sure its a common creek chub.

Were you fishing in calm water? They tend to harass me when my fly drifts into calmer water. They also seem to be more prevelant when the water temp is up. Same with the warpaint shiners.

Picture's grainy but it looks like a chub from the shape.

Yep I was in a calmer pool and saw a bunch of them congregated on the bottom. They were interested in my #14 pink san juan worm. Thanks for the id help now I will know what they are next time.

I believe it is a stoneroller, more commonly known as a hornyhead or knottyhead. I believe only the males get the knots/horns, however.

I have always called them horny heads, I think they are stone rollers.

Pretty good website for identifying random catches.
