    Default Fishing the Little "T"

My memories of fishing the Little "T" are starting to fade, but the first thing that comes to my mind is shear pins. We were always breaking shear pins.
The river was swift and full of rocks and deep holes. Our anchor is still on the bottom where it got caught between some rocks and had to be cut loose.
There was a fellow named Hoss Holt who ran a store on the river, and always
told us what the fish were supposedly biting. The Little T was a good river,
but I guess it was needed for other purposes.
    Gone fishing.

My dad's stories and his pictures are all I have of the Little T. But **** ... some nice pictures and stories. Sure is a shame.

Haven't heard that name in ages... I wasn't into fly fishing at the time, though. (forgive me. ) But, my buddy and I used to rent a boat from Hoss Holt... and he'd send a truck to pick us up later in the day. Man, did we have a blast!

Is there still any decent trout fishing up there? I haven't been in years and years.

Last time I was up there they had drained Chilhowee lake, and there was a new store at Tallassee. Hoss Holt's store is gone, and there is a helicopter landing
pad that I guess is for Life Star to pick up the motorcycle victims. I used to fish some in Chilhowee lake. I would not night fish up there unless you took
Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson along.
    Gone fishing.
