I selected the fly for her, tied it on for her, and tried to teach her a few basics of roll casting. Unfortunately her casts usually ended up with a "pile up" about 15 feet away. That didn't phase her though, she hung with it and fished a few paces downstream from me. Of course my roll casts we always prefect, landing the hopper terestial on target near the far side of the river. That perfection was exceeded only by the perfect drifts corrected occassionally by well executed mends.
Well guess who caught the only fish this day? She did! As they say, par for the course.
All this aside we really had a great time visiting your little slice of paradise there in Townsend. You will have a new fly fisher woman to deal with on the Little River as I am certain we will be back again and again.
