    Default Stealth shrimp hook?

Anyone happen to remember what hook Byron's Stealth Shrimp was tied on?

I tried it on the B10S (which I'm honestly a bit concerned about using in the salt), and the proportions were wrong. The B10S doesn't seem to have quite enough room for the eyes plus a decently long body. However, I can't find a longer-shanked, stinger style saltwater hook. Any ideas? I'm wondering if just a plain Mustad 34011 or 34007 is the ticket.

Actually, you need to go to the July 2009 edition of the LRO Journal with a link to Kent's website to tie the Stealth bomber. Bryon told me that his pattern is based upon Kent's design. Here is the link to Kent's method of tying it:

Yep, that's the page I've been using. But the Stealth Shrimp seemed to have a different proportion than the original Stealth Bomber, and use a longer shank hook. I tried a couple on a Mustad 34007 this morning (a size 2 using the pattern for the size 6 B10S) and it still turned out a bit short. I might try a size 2 34011 and see if that comes out a bit better, but dang that shank looks long.

I think shorter length shank hooks hold in the fishes mouth better. Gamakatsu stingers are not long shank hooks and that is the preferred stealth bomber fresh water hook. Maybe try the Gamakatsu SC15 or the SL 45.

By placing the eyes in the rear of the body you extend the usable portion of the the hook that materials are normally tied on. Which is where I think they should be on this pattern, shrimp swim backwards.
