    Default Smokies Fishing...

...is on fire right now. Just got back from a weekend camping trip and everyone caught lots of fish. Dry/dropper was definitely the way to go. For the dropper, think caddis pupa... More on my blog later, and I'll get some pictures up here as soon as possible...

    Default Updated with pictures...

Well, I finally got some of the pictures ready to go and thought I would share a few. My cousin Nathan and his friend JR came up to camp and fish for the weekend. JR had never fly fished in the Smokies and had not done much fly fishing in general prior to the trip. He did a great job, catching a fish in the first pool I put him in and catching between 20 and 30 fish his second day on the water. My cousin Nathan took big fish honors with a nice 13 inch brown on a dry fly... The look on his face when he hooked up was priceless...

    Here's a few shots...

    Beautiful Little River rainbow...

Playing guide for JR...his first Smoky Mountain trout!!!

    Jr's first brown trout...

    One of Nathan's rainbows...

    Nathan releasing his nice brown...

    One of my better browns...

    Another brown...

    A favorite section of river...

    Plateau,
Were you and your buddies walking up the trail above Elkmont on Saturday? I think we saw you (or someone who looked a lot like you) on the trail.

I apologize for not shouting out a hello.

After you guys passed, I thought I recgonized you from your photos but wasn't 100% sure.

Daniel and I were there from about 11:30 until somewhere around 4:30.

Had the best PB&J lunch streamside ever! At about 4:30, he started craving pizza (15 year old boys can eat a LOT).

Again, sorry for not shouting out.

    Jeff

Jeff, I'm sure we'll run into each other again sometime. Give me a holler next time you guys are down and let's fish...
