    Default Thanks

My son and I finally made it to cs#18 this weekend and I wanted to thank all of you for the information offered. It rained all night but our spirits were high and it was a great experience.

Thanks again to everyone and JayB for finally getting me to get to getting.

GREAT!!! Glad to hear the two of you were able to get out there! I hope he had a good time. The rain can put a damper on things, but it will be easier to get out again next time now that you've gotten started, and hopefully with better weather!
So how was the trip? Catch anything?

I have always thought that forums were a place for people to exchange information. I know I have picked up a TON of information from this forum, and since Im new to fly fishing, for trout anyway, I try to make contributions the best way I know how, and the one "skill" that I might have that others could find interesting/useful is taking kids fishing/camping/hiking. On my home forum back in Texas, that was the approach I took, and though I wasnt the guy catching 40 lb catfish and 10 lb bass, my reports of canoeing and fishing with the boys were well received and often I fielded questions on the subject.

Point being, my reports may not have a lot of fish in them, but I hope someone can find some useful nuggets in there. Glad I could help you David, and congrats on getting outside with your boy. He will remember it forever.

    Thumbs up

Props to JayB for helping cardfly get out and fish this spot. Even though it rained on you; I am sure you are glad you at-least tried. Hope the weather cooperates better next time...
