    Default Soho is better!

Well I had some time today for some much needed Soho fishing....I had just over 2 hours to fish and I wasnt let down...I landed 10 on zebra midges and another 6 on sulfers...With my best ever rainbow from the Soho to finish off a awesome day in one of my favorite places to fish...It is hands down a way better fishery that the Clinch! Just wish I had more time to fish it....

The South Holston is insane. With the ferocious instinct of the Browns and the reproduction ability-one could easily catch 50 fish a day on that river. I threw some of the craziest flies I have ever tied and they would destroy them. My fishing partners always laugh at how they will hit on instinct at about any type of fly.... Sorry locals! That is hands down the best river I have fished east of the Mississippi....

The SoHo is a great river for trout. Hugh Hartsell guided Barbara & I on the SoHo about a year ago, and we caught a ton of fish.

Thanks for the photos and the commentary.

Ive got a buddy that fished it a few days ago and caught 53 during a sulfer hatch...He carries a pitch counter with him!

That does not surprise me...My group caught over 100 for the day out of three-guys in about an eight-hour period. I was exhausted; but, it was fish on at every opportunity. I love that river and I hope it gets respected and maintained by the local fishermen and public.

Speaking of maintained,,,,TWRA just purchased land off big springs rd to build some sort of access to the water...Its in that sharp curve at the end of Big springs if your going up river...

I couldn't agree more...the S. Holston is a way better river than the Clinch. If you want to live or visit the best area for trout fishing in TN, go to the NE part of the state. Hands down the best area.
