    Default Coming into town tomorrow

Going to be there through the weekend and attending Troutfest. We will be staying in a condo on Wears valley Rd. in Pigeon Forge. What is fishing well right now? Want to get my wife into her first wild trout.

    Thanks

Edited to add Looking for something fairly easy to access and close by. Wife is having Knee surgery on the 19th so long hikes are out of the question

I have been hearing, trout in Roaring fork are non existent....

I have scaled down my tippet size lately....and have liked the result. Just need to watch the flow. The lower water seems to have them a bit nervous.

Looks like we will have a good chance of rain this weekend......

    Good luck

Smoky, are you fishing into the park a ways or down lower? I'm gonna try RF a little bit the first couple weeks of June but also going to fish stockers with my wife around g-burg.

Fish the Chimney's picnic area off 441 just up stream fron Sugerland ranger station. Pretty easy trout, may get a brookie or two.

No kidding, what gives? I've never run across one down there for whatever reason and I've fished down there a lot with my family in years past.

Well we ended up fishing around Metcalfe Bottoms for a few hours Friday. Wife caught her first two species on a fly rod. A rainbow trout and a sucker. Both took a yellow neversink caddis. Thanks to Ethan for the help at the shop.

Bran- I dont fish Gburg much at all, for that reason. They freak me out...lol

I have had at least 4 guest's of ours within the last couple of weeks report seeing them along the stream. Most being between the Aquarium and the Peddler.

Strange....with all the time i have spent in the park the last few years....I have never spotted one in the park!!! Just Gburg....

Ky Tim - My congrats to the wife....Sounds like you had a great time.

I'll bet they're there because of rats. I was up the back stretch above Christus Gardens years ago and fishing a rock and concrete wall behind a motel. The rats started coming out everywhere! That kind of freaked me out, I packed it on back down stream to the truck!!
