Default clinch float on 1 generation

hey guys i know this is late to post but ..i will be hitting the clinch sun and my buddy is bringing his drift boat we are going to start at peach orchard and float to 61 ramp... my question is when should we start heading down river from the 1st set of shoals...before or after the 10am generation start time ......should we fish the flow or head out ahead of it.... i really want to try some of the areas i read about that are only accesible by boat... should we use floating or intermediet sinking lines when the water catches us.....we are open as far as if we will fish on top or subsurface..any help is greatly appreciated...also how is the fishing generally on 1 generation....

Never done the boat thing, so I'll defer that input to others with experience. Below is a link to the Clinch Drain times if you haven't seen it.
