Default LOST FLY ROD! Clinch River>Coldwater Farms

Well.... for about the 3rd time I have left my rod on top of the Suburban. (Saturday Oct.1 at 11:30 am)

Probably fell off on the long, bumpy driveway. Went and looked this morning to no avail.

There was one other vehicle down there. (Newer pearly blue Tahoe) Very nice trio of folks. (Appeared to be a grandfather, son and grandson) This family could have come across it. If so, please PM.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

Check with Shawn Madison, he usually finds lost fly rods.

Bill, I wish I found it as I would be the first person to get it back to him.

Redfoot; did you have and ID on the rod or reel? Most of the stuff I find is not labeled. I think a great idea is to print some mailing labels and put them on the inside of your reel where the line labels are usually placed. Then; cover it with some scotch tape. You can do this on your rod as well.

Everything that I have found with some sort of ID; I have helped it get back to its home.

I will keep an eye out and my ears to the ground for you...

Great idea Madison. I should have already done this after several lost rods and many years of knowing better.

    Thanks

I lost a rod and reel the same way a number of years ago. Since then, it is RGIF. Rod Goes In First. Before you take off vest, waders or anything, put the rod in its tube and reel in the car.
