    Lightbulb Wire-Body Streamers (?)

Has anyone tried tying streamers with wire-bodies; similar to the large articulated streamers used for muskie and pike? I tried a few last night and they seem very easy to tie. I just need to get out and see how they look on the water.

    Here are my first two-examples:

These give us the ultimate human freedom... The
to choose, to respond, to change.”

To save weight and to have a floating tail on some of my articulated flys, I sometimes tie on mono. This one was tied on 40# mono.

I've tried a few patterns in the past tied on wire bodies and didn't like the action in the water. a little stiff and if bent slightly , it would have a tendency to spin. I have been playing around some with MOAL leech style patterns for smallies. tying them on superbraid. It undulates in the water. here are some tying instructions. you can also tie them with beadheads instead of dumbell eyes.

Good idea, guys. I might have to experiment for the Hiwassee this spring.
Heavynets, you need to put a bit more color into your flies.
