    Default Holston River Boat Ramps

So has anyone been to indian cave latlly? Last year the so called boat ramp was in rough shape. Has it been fixed or has all the rain we've had here latly made it worse?

Also do any of you know anyone that has a boat ramp up river from nancy's? if you could email some contact info, I would be more then happy to call or even pay them a visit to see if I could use their ramp. Also I would be happy to pay as well. My email is clinchriverflyfishing@gmail.com

If one puts in at indian cave and fishes all the way to Nancy's that makes for a sun up to sun down float. I would like to find something alittle closer.

    Thanks
    Rodney

    Rodney,
We did the float yesterday from Indian Cave to Nances Ferry and the ramp was in fair shape, not good. If you are driving a Pickup with wide rear view mirrors, it not too hard. If you have an SUV, it can be tricky. It was a great trip and the river was on fire. Little River Outfitters finest made the fish live hard. The Caddis were coming off from the middle of the day onward. Take a look. http://smokymountainflyguide.com/reports%2029.htm

This was 1/2 of the trip. I'll post the 2nd half later.
By the way, You need a trolling motor for this trip.

Great job Hugh! Looks like you guys spanked them. I have done that float before and I know what you mean by haveing a trollling motor. I need to get one for my boat. I just thought some of you local boys might know of someone that you all could introduce me to that has a boat ramp to make it alittle less of a full day float.
