John, I know JohnH lives in that area. I was hoping he would respond to your post. He must be busy. He has great reports. Maybe you could go back to look at his older posts. He always seem to pick up a fish or two even when things are tough. Hope this helps. Have a safe trip.

    Lynn,

Thanks. I was hoping John would post. My Google of fish reports from that part of the world has turned up very little in the way of new or current reports.

My wife is currently living there and my daughter and I will follow next year. She tells me she has me lined up to fish with a couple of people in the area. These folks sound like pretty serious and good fisherman so I won't just be casting in the dark so to speak.

    Thanks,

    John

    John,
I apologize I have just had too much going on....haven't even been able to fish much either. I hope you had a good trip.

    John,

Thanks so much for the response. I got to fish twice while I was there. Once at Hunting Park off the pier. Threw the ultra light and caught some trout. Wanted to fish the jetties on the beach but ran out of time. Then went out with a guy that my wife hooked me up with thru her work. We fished a piece of Paris Island. Took a while but we found the trout in about ten foot of water about 3/4 the way thru a falling tide. Got a few on spin and some on the fly. Had white caps most of the morning. Saw a lot of small sharks cruising the shorelines and shallow breaks.

I think I'm going to enjoy the area and the fishing it has to offer. Got a lot to do before I can get moved there but I'll be back from time to time. Hope to catch one of the Sea Island Fly Fisher meetings.

    Thanks,

    John
