Bill, it's actually a rainbow if I remember right. Look at the gill plate. I don't mind if you want to use it. Email me at syates6006@gmail.com if you want a full size copy of the jpeg file.

Don, glad to see you made it back home. The $3.37 you send me was a nice gesture. My behavior is always the best I can muster given the present situation. I was going to give a class on trick photography at Troutfest this year, but it looks like I might have to write the book now

Flyh2O, yes it's the Davidson River. She ain't what she use to be but it's still a pretty good fishery, with a nice family type campground. Plus I don't have to beg my parole officer to let me leave the state.

Flyman, Could you give info on the campground? Been wanting to fish the Davidson but never have.

Ben, the water was too low, not to mention full of leaves

Principal, Here is a good link for finding just about any campground in the NF or NP around the country.

Breck, I love all kinds of fishing. My days of hiking 4 or 5 miles to fish are just about over. This area has easy access and as a result sometimes gets a little crowed on the weekends. It is easy wading, so it's a good place for kids and old farts like me. Go early or late, or during the week day if you can.
