    Thumbs up Fishing Days 2013

So here's something to get things going around here. How many days are you planning to fish this year? Also, any interesting trips planned?

My general goal is around 70 days personally. I'm excited about returning to TN for the spring hatches in March and also looking at a possible trip to Yellowstone in early June. Other than that, I'll be fishing a lot here in Colorado!!!

I'm setting the bar low and putting 31-60 days. I know for a fact that I will fish 31 days, but more than 60 is alot when I still spend as much time hunting as I do.

I should draw a good antelope tag for the NW corner of Wyoming, around Cody, for this September. I plan on making it an extended trip and getting in as much fishing as possible. I also have a WV smallmouth float trip planned with some friends. I did this last year, but used hardware instead of a flyrod. It's flyrod only this year. I'm also contemplating a trip this spring to Florida. I haven't made up my mind where, but it will be somewhere in the panhandle area due to me probably going solo and I'll just make it a long weekend. I've never fly fished saltwater, but plan on giving it a shot. I'll also probably end up fishing in Georgia for a weekend on my annual pilgrimage as well as some more smallmouth fishing in North Carolina. Gonna be a busy year.

I voted in the 61-120 range. There probably won't be any special trips planned for me this year. We have a new lake (approx. 1000 acres) opening this year about 5 minutes from my house and I plan to be there on the opening day to go after the new to artificial baits largemouth, bluegill and crappie! I may also try fishing from the beach on our annual family vacation to Gulf Shores. I'd like to make a trip east for trout at some point if I can swing it!

Since I only live about 15 min. from the Clinch and I'm under one of my doctor's orders to fish all I can, I picked the 120-200 range. The Clinch will get most of my attention with the Holston (30 min. drive) and Park getting their share. I plan on trying the SOHO and Watauga as well as Laurel Creek (Dennis Cove). I also am going to do my best to get back out to Wy. to the Star Valley area once more for a week as well as getting out to try Reelfoot Lake in West Tenn. This also includes any lake fishing with my flyrod on Melton Hill down near Hickory Creek and on Norris Lake. I also have to include a farm pond that i hit once a month. I guess that's about enough.

Does casting in my front yard and really using my imagination count?

I'm in Tejas. If I have 8 full days on the water fly fishing in any given year I'm lucky. But I sure spend a lot of time thinking about it!

Mike, if you make it out West send me an email. I'll see if I can get away from work or get out on a weekend and we'll see if we can't find some big bream at Reelfoot or maybe hit another lake up in Gibson Co. that has good bream and shell cracker.

As many as I can. I typically get to go fishing about 3-4 evenings a week between April and September. If I'm lucky, I get to the Smokey Mtns one or two weekends a year.

My goal after I retire is to spend more time in the mountains. Hopefully that will happen in a couple years.

Soho, Abrams, Hiwasse X 3 this year = On track for 260 days. I hit a 100 days last year and hope to at least do that this year.

I promise to post pics of all trips.

David look forward to fishing with you when you make it back.

Two trips I will accomplish in the next 2 months......Hazel and Snowbird.

Will assist one new person at least in learning to fly fish.

Look forward to a great fishing year everyone!!!!!
