I agree! However; developers are always looking for the so called "gold mine" project to retire on...Just look at all the foreclosures in Sevierville of massive developments.
Unfortunately; the price for this land is too much for a farm operation to be feasible. The only other clients are developers, conservation societies, and well off fly fisherman.
I would love to see someone contact many of the conservation groups and try to buy it for a preservation. Heck; even make it like an Iam's nature area for people to visit and learn about the environment, etc.
Just my dreams.
I do know if a developer buys it; that there will be many people watching every step to make sure it does not get rezoned.
