    Default 7-17 report

    Byron,
I was just wondering, on you the pic of your fly box is a wiggle minnow, a knuckle head, and what is the third fly? Thanks,

    Mark.

    Mark,
I'm not 100% sure what the fly is that you are asking about. It is either a modification of a Rubberlegged Dragon or a modification of an Egan's Headstand. It might be some fly that someone gave Byron to try.

Daniel is probably right. I think its a Dragonfly imitation. I know what his real secret is thought

    Hey Mark, Daniel and Flyman,

You are all right. This is my knockoff of Carter's Rubber Legged Dragon combined with an Eagan's Headstand. I tie them on a shorter hook with a wide gape. I can't think of the Tiemco number right now. I use heavy amounts of rabbit fur clipped from a rabbit strip. Paula and I use them for smallmouth bass, large bluegill and shellcrackers. Our favorite colors are Crawfish Orange and Chartreuse. I caught a smallmouth yesterday on one. Paula caught a 3 pound smallmouth on the chartreuse version about three weeks ago. When we fish on the lakes, this is one of 4 our our favorite flies.
