Pete, have you tried the Sweet and Spicy sauce at Full Service? My favorite. I can do without the pickles and onion on the sandwich but I really like their BBQ.

Got EXCELLENT ribs at the Bread of Heaven wagon in the Big Lots parking lot last Thursday. If you can catch them with ribs, they're wonderful.

It's a little further away, but I really like Sweet P's BBQ and Soul House

They're also building a Dead End BBQ over near Petecz, so he'll be able to give it a review once open. I eat at their location in Knoxville occasionally and really like their brisket and sausage, but their sides suck. I don't want gourmet beans and cool-slaw with my bbq. Their brisket and bleu salad is awesome.

Not really traditional bbq, but similar, is Rocky's Jamaica Sunrise on Broadway in Maryville. No seating, but worth it for the take out. Jamaican jerk chicken is one of my favorite and where else can you order goat curry and oxtail stew.

Bread of Heaven is also awesome. Last I saw, it was for sale and they were moving to Knoxville. I'm not sure if the actual restaurant is still open. I didn't know they had a food cart in front of Big Lots. I'll have to swing by and pick some up.

Not really in the same area, but if you are coming out of Tellico plains, heading toward the interstate, Bradley's BBQ is pretty good, & reasonably priced.

I hit it one evening after a long backpacking trip. It was all you can eat ribs night. I nearly had to sleep in the parking lot.

Buzz, Bread of Heaven is still open for Friday lunch buffet but that's all at their sit-down.
