    Default Sandusky River

Since we are a little trout challenged here in the buckeye state, I decided to try the Sandusky river that runs through my brothers property. We have also had high water this year and most weekends the river looked like chocolate milk. But the other day the level finally lowered and the water cleared up nicely. It was perfect stealth bomber water.

Caught a lot of these guys.

This is what I was looking for, but a little bigger please!

That's a little better, this little smallie put an unbelievable bend in my 5 wt.

Best one of the day, this one had a run in with something, no otters up here, but maybe one of our eagles tried to take him home for supper, might explain why they were in a section with good overhead cover. Well it's not the mountains, but it beats sitting at the computer reading about other people fishing.

    Nice report

Thanks for the report. Nice to see you take advantage of the fishing opportunities you have in your area.

Looks like you stole my shirt. I'm guessing you thought it was a good deal at Wally World as well

Nice report. I was wondering what that second fish is. It looks like a smallie kinda. Red eye?

Yea it's a young smallie I think, I don't see too many of the big red eye's up here. The rock bass have red eyes but most of the smallies eyes get dark when they get bigger. It may just be the water or conditions.
