    Default Game Changer

I caught this one about 4 hours ago on the Little Tennessee River. The fly is a shad colored "Game Changer". These flies look awesome in the water. The rod is a 9 weight. Paula and I had a great day on the water. The leaves are changing and it was fairly warm. We had motor problems but figured that out and fixed it. It was windy too. After the wind died down I fished for an hour or more. Just caught this one fish but it was a nice one. The Game Changers I tied are on #1 stinger hooks and they are heavy. I think an 8 weight would be fine but in the wind the 9 worked better.

    Silver Creek and Stonefly,

I really miss seeing you guys. I often think about all the good times we had when I lived in Nashville. I saw Doc a few weeks ago. I talk to Mauries occasionally. Maybe we should plan a camping trip reunion to the Cherokee National Forest before too much time goes by.

If you're just going to catch one fish you sure pick the right ones! Great fish and glad you are getting some time out on the water. Hope you're doing well...

I'm in! I see Mauries a lot, haven't seen Doc in years. Ditto Shelton. Crap, I don't see Silver Creek though we both fish the Caney. Thought I saw him in the distance once, but I was wrong.

Seriously, I'd love to get together anywhere, any time. A little distant, but Standing Indian on the upper Nantahala is nice.

    Hi Flyman,

It is great to have you back. I enjoyed our e-mail chat last week. Take care of yourself and go fishing more.

    Byron,
Beautiful fish! How kind of Paula to let you hold it while she took the picture!
When a man catches a fish like that, he should pause for a splash of bourbon and a cigar.
