    Default Smoky Brown

This fish beat my personal best GSM trout by 1 inch. The brown ended up being 26''. Just wanted to share. Felt really lucky to fool a fish like this. Also glad Bill was there to snap the photo. Bill ended up catching a 19'' shortly after and it was a thick fish also. Both fish were just saturated with color.

Lynn, I've been waiting to see this on here. Glad you found such a pretty fish and congrats on the new personal best. Leave a few in the river for me. I'll be back in TN and fishing the mountains next month.

That is the most impressive fish I have seen in the smokys. Thanks for posting and sharing your story.

If you have any more pictures or even one a little larger I would love to see them posted here.

I could only dream of such a GSMNP fish.

    Thanks again

No real story really. He was chasing some smaller fish and when he finished he sat down. I watched him for awhile and when he fed I put a nymph on him and he ate. Then all **** broke loose. He never left the hole though but did try to go under a log jam. Fight probley lasted less than five minutes.
