I love the Thunderhead in sizes 10-16.

Well....I would have guess your favorite size was an 8. Guess that's what happens when I assume

Actually I prefer to get an old boat hook and file it to a good point and tie on that, then use parachute cord for the leader. I was trying to be "politically corect" with this group.

A note of caution: Do not try this at home. If you don't know what you are doing, you can ruin a perfectly good fly rod with this setup.

Because the Caney is my home water, zebras and scuds are my usual - Zebras in various color combos especially. Given the rate they can be cranked out, I'd say they're my favorite.

BHPTs are my favorite to tie. I tie and fish a lot of simiseal leeches, zebra midges, neversink caddis, pink weenies, etc.

There are so many patterns I enjoy tying. Not sure which one to pick but I guess I'm partial to parachute style dry flies so I guess I'll go with a Parachute Adams in any size from #12-#20. Smaller than #20 isn't as enjoyable anymore as I spend more time fighting the hook and the materials and my proportions...

    David,
The size #12-14 are my favorite sizes for dry flies.
Glad to see you go to #12 as well.

I fish those a lot on tailwaters as well as the Park. Great for dry/droppers...
