Default Sample EMAIL to Senator Alexander on Hatchery -TVA Tailwater Issues

Ok. Heres the email you might send or choose something different. You could modify or expand or do something totally different for the comment response to the TVA COMMENTS website for the public hearing comments.

The email to Senator Alexander website :
    alexander .senate.gov

The topic choice for emails: environment

    A sample email:

    Lamar
Thanks so much for intervening in the trout hatchery issues and requiring TVA to stand up to
Its responsibility to maintain the immensely valuable recreational and economic benefits that we now have in the TVA region. From the wasteland of barren TVA TAILWATER rivers prior to the implementation of reoxygenation , minimum low regimes, and sound fisheries biology , our region is now known among serious trout enthusiasts as the Montana of the east. It is a national
Flyfishing destination. By allowing TVA to walk away from its moral responsibility to enhance the only valuable fishery that can exist in these tailwaters, we would lose an irreplaceable recreational and economic asset in our region. And this asset can be maintained for a pittance in terms of the annual TVA budget. Literally a few pennies a year from its electric ratepayers.

I sincerely appreciate your prior assistance and trut you will use your good offices to influence TVA TO MAKE THE RIGHT MORAL AND ECONOMIC DECISION FOR THE CONTINUATION OF THE EXCELLENT TAILWATER TROUT FISHING ASSETS WE NOW ENJOY IN THIS REGION. THANKS LAMAR.

Good letter Joe. Many years ago, my mother ran the district office for a longtime congressman in North Carolina. Back then, they had a factor they applied to every letter they received. For example, everyone who sends Lamar Alexander this letter represents maybe 175 constituents who feel the same way but didn't write. You don't even have to doctor the letter to make it different. Just cut and paste and shoot the email his way. All they really care about is how many folks are on a particular side of an issue. With email, there is no excuse not to let your legislators know how you feel about many issues.
