    Default Soho Ness Monster!

This may be the fish story of the year from the SoHo caught this week, great story below . Disclosure: Not my fish and I do not know the angler.

STORY: "31" Brown weighing 14 Ibs was caught out of the S. Holston today without being hooked. Took a 6" Rainbow that was being brought in and hung on to it long enough to be netted once they got him in slower moving water. Actually dropped the Rainbow once and came back for seconds, which I've never seen before. Unreal fishing tale that is 100% true!!"

I have no idea, I would guess they stopped at Wal-Mart and bought hooks to hang it over the mantle. That fish is big enough to make you take down your own moma's picture and replace it over the fireplace!

A guide company on the Soho is the original source of the shot and story and took her out I believe. Think of this, the state record for brown trout if I remember correctly is 28 pounds 12 ounces in 1988 and out of the Clinch on a spinning rod. Do that math! Some of that man's family attends our TU meetings, and we still talk about that one to this day!

Here is a link to that story from almost 10 years ago that celebrated the 20 year anniversary brown trout state record that still holds today. That record will be 30 years old in August 2018 if it stands. Greg Ensor, the angler I guess is closing in on 55 years old if my math is right. Not a bad record to hold and still be holding for almost 30 years!

If the SoHo was crowded before take note of what happened to the Clinch after that brown trout record holder was caught, no room at the Inn?

I hope every trophy hunter in a 5 hour radius bombs the south holston now because of this story. 😂

But I saw this pic on that shops instagram feed, awesome story behind it
